Drive Electric Ohio Takes an Ohio Auto Show Tour

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 23, 2017 – To start off 2018 in big way, Drive Electric Ohio, Clean Fuels Ohio’s statewide EV program, will have a presence at four of the five major auto shows in Ohio this year. Working with partners throughout the state, there will be electric vehicles (EVs) at most, if not all, of the shows in Toledo, Dayton, Cleveland, and Columbus. Each region will have a different space and be staffed by the local EV Ambassador groups that have emerged from the Drive Electric Ohio mission. You can find information on all of the events below:

Greater Toledo Auto Show
Toledo Drives Electric will host an “Electric Avenue” with cars such as the BMW i3, Chevy Bolt, and Chrysler Pacifica on display. The Toledo Auto Show will be held at the Seagate Convention Center from Feb. 8-11. Electric Avenue will be located outside the main area, over by Toledo Tech Academy. Dayton Auto Show 
The Dayton Auto Show will be held at the Dayton Convention Center and from Feb. 22-25. Drive Electric Dayton (DED) will have a booth just outside the main entrance, and hope to have a car on display. Admission is $8 at the box office, $6 online. Stop by and say hello to one of multiple DED members that will be staffing the booth all weekend! Cleveland Auto Show 
The Cleveland Auto Show will take place Feb. 23 – March 4 at the IX Center. Drive Electric Northeast Ohio (DENEO) will have a booth with a Fiat 500e and, with any luck, a 2018 Nissan LEAF. Volunteers for the group will be helping staff the display as much as possible. Admission ranges from free to $13 for adults. Learn more here: https://www.clevelandautoshow.com.

*Drive Electric NE Ohio is ramping up and have two events this coming weekend as well: Pints for a Purpose on Saturday and DENEO Ride and Drive on Sunday.

Columbus Auto Show 
Drive Electric Columbus (DEC) is partnering with Smart Columbus to do a Smart City Electric Ride and Drive at the Columbus Auto Show. This show is located at the Greater Columbus Convention Center from March 15– 18. We couldn’t be more excited as this will be the largest Drive Electric Ohio Auto Show event, with 10-plus cars to test drive and three or four for display. You can find this area the ride and drive section, to the left about ¾ of the way back. Both DEC and the Smart Columbus ride and drive team will be there to answer any questions you may have! Admission is only $10 at the box office, $8 online, to learn more about what Smart Columbus is doing and take a test drive of multiple electric vehicles.
